Electricity services can be purchased from many utility provider companies. 
The Public Utility Commission of the State of Texas has a website called PowerToChoose.org to help guide you through making an informed choice.

In the end, the "last mile" of getting electricity to your home is managed by CenterPoint Energy.  Contact CenterPoint if your power is out or needs servicing.  Contact your utility provider for rates and billing concerns.

CenterPoint is also the natural gas provider for our area.  This service comes directly from CenterPoint, not from a broker or utility provider service.
